PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA DOP
results from the harvesting of Primitivo grapes from old free standing vineyards. Its colour is deep ruby-red with intense violet hints. The fragrance of this wine is reminiscent of fruit jam, blackcurrants, mulberries, cherries, cocoa and liquorice. On the palate, its taste is round, smooth and well-balanced. It is ideal with all dishes, in particular with meat sauce, gravy, grilled red meat, braised and stewed meat.
Alcohol: 14% vol.
Production area: south of Taranto
Grape yield per hectare: kg 6,000 – 7,000
Production method: vinification by maceration with controlled temperature at 26°-28°C. After malolactic fermentation, refinement in French tonneau at least for 8 months.
